Are We Done Fighting Workshop
Last year, I went to a good presentation by Matthew Legge entitled Are We Done Fighting? Building Understanding In a World of Hate and Division. The presentation was held by the Quakers, and I was pleasantly surprised. Legge's talk (and the book he is promoting along it) is all about how our brains work, and how our cognitive biases can polarize us.
The Marit Collective is hosting another talk by Legge on Saturday, Feb 15 at 1pm. This will be a longer four hour workshop. It does cost money, and I don't think I am attending, but I think it will be worthwhile. The information Legge presents is floating around in bits and pieces, but Legge collects this information into one coherent presentation, and he offers a strong message.
