Links I'll Probably Never Visit
Every sucky personal webpage has a listing of interesting and useless links for people to visit. As I am attempting to make this personal webpage as sucky as possible ("Demons in My Head: The Site Nobody Visits Twice!") I have decided to make up a list of possibly interesting and useless links.
Mind you, I have never actually visited most of these sites. I just happened to come across URLs with interesting descriptions. I wrote down the URLs and vowed that someday I would visit all of these cool sites and learn all of these cool things.. but I haven't gotten around to it yet, and knowing me I probably never will.
You can visit these sites if you would like. Drop me a note if you find any of them interesting. If and when I ever get around to clicking these links, I will post a little summary of what I discovered on these pages with the interesting URLs.
Sites I Haven't Visited:

Gee. I wonder what this one is about...
Links I Have Finally Bothered to Click:

This is the homepage of the company that develops StarOffice. I remember marking this site as a place to visit because:
StarOffice is a productivity suite for Linux. That's important if Linux (or any other NIX) is going to challenge Microsoft as a competitor for the personal PC market. Since I am a UNIX fan, I think that challenging Microsoft is a good* thing.
Despite being a professional product by a professional software company, it is available (as far as I can tell) free to the public.
I personally don't use office productivity all that much (WordPerfect 5.1 does just about all I ever want from a word processor) but if I ever get myself a Linux box with the space, I'm going to visit this site, download the application and give StarOffice a try.

This is the homepage of Lind, the satirist with no first (last?) name. Lind is a cool guy who writes a pretty cool political satire comic for eye magazine. The comic strip is called "The Adventures of Weltschmerz", which I recently learned is a synonym for sadness. If you like leftist socialist pinko satire about Southern Ontario (and, surprisingly, not everyone does) then give this site a click.

It's the crazy "Journal by Prisoners on Prisons," that merry periodical detailing the injustice of the justice system. I for one never knew just how much crime is influenced by drug and alcohol abuse. I only looked at the first issue (which was posted online) but I was fascinated, in a sick sort of way.
Why sick? Because this is the sort of magazine that reminds you of just how messed up the world is. There is real injustice happening in our own backyard. I am not sure if I agree with everything that is said on these electronic pages, but there is something wrong when a system that is supposed to HELP people ends up hurting them more. Why would you jail the mother of two children because she killed the father? Isn't that just hurting the children more? I don't know.
